Long Day

Long Day

What a long day it has been for me today. I went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned. This is the first time where the dental hygenist said to me that my gums are healthy! In her words "You must be flossing every day". Yes! I was thinking of Rosco when she said that. There's still hope for you too, Rosco! LOL! I'll never figure this one out because just like Rosco once pointed out I, too, floss every day. Thus why today she gave me the thumbs up as oppose to other times when I do exactly the same as always remains a mystery....

Then it was back to work but it was getting late and I had hoped to return back home first to change before heading out to work. I was dressed pretty casual and didn't really want to show up at work in jeans and a Tommy Hillfinger T-shirt.  I was like "damn" and I still needed to eat lunch. So I called my mom to complain (she doesn't really mind - she knows how I am) and she was like go to Banana Republic and buy a jacket or something... That was actually a good idea. LOL! So I went there and purchased a nice top before going back to work. Everyone was laughing at me as I sprinted through the backdoor and into the restroom to change my top before heading out to the main part of the library.

This afternoon we had a children's program. We had a perfomer who brought in live reptiles - mostly snakes, frogs, lizards, etc. The kids went wild. It was very well attended and I had to do crowd control among other things. I love the little ones. They got so excited as the performer wrapped the snake around their necks. I also got to pat a snake though I must admit that I'm a bit afraid of them. But I tried to be brave and someone recently told me that there is an old legend that when you pat a snake someone who has cancer can be cured. So I wanted to do it out of goodwill in case this does happen :)

Now I'm at home relaxing. I'm totally pooped. Being surrounded by a hundred fifty screaming kids can be exhausting but nevertheless, it's a priceless experience.
